In 1970, a small hardware store adjacent to the University of Texas campus was purchased by Truman and Ann Breed. Today, 40 years later, that small hardware store is an Austin institution. Still locally owned and operated by the Breed family, the store has expanded to two locations and prides itself in providing remarkable customer service. Hardware is still a big part of the store. But, inventory now includes some of the finest table top, housewares, garden and seasonal décor, and gourmet food you’ll find anywhere.

Both stores are staffed with knowledgeable sales associates who can teach you to do everything from a simple household repair to the fine art of table setting or container gardening.
