Every year, more than ten million kids enter children's hospitals across North America. That's over ten million sick and injured children, over ten million worried families, and over ten million cases that aren't fully covered by Medicaid and insurance programs. Children's hospitals rely on donations and community support to bridge that financial gap, to help as many of those ten million kids
The Children's Miracle Network is a nonprofit that supports a network of children's hospitals, providing the funding they need to help the hospital and their patients. Since 1983, they have been holding campaigns and fundraisers to uphold their mission: to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible. Over the years they have raised over 5 billion dollars, but there's still a lot of work to do.
One of the vital things that the Children's Miracle Network does is to make sure that donations stay local. CMN directs all proceeds from local Austin fundraising events to Austin's local children's hospital, Dell Children's Medical Center.
In support, Breed & Company is holding in-store fundraising events for CMN and Dell Children's Medical Center. The first of these events is a bucket sale on August 2-4, where a $5 donation can earn you 20% off your purchase. On September 19th we'll be holding an in-store Sip & Shop silent auction. Finally, in December we'll be hosting a teddy bear toy drive for the children in Dell Children's Medical Center.
